Browsing and local storage

Browsing does not require an account. Settings, saved-photo lists and private collections are stored on your device. The apps cache gallery metadata and images for loading and offline use. Clearing browser site data or removing an app can remove this local information.

Votes and optional device sync

Voting sends the photo identifier, vote direction and a randomly generated device or browser identifier to our API. The server associates votes with a salted digest of that identifier. Older clients may use a digest based on their IP address and browser information. These identifiers are pseudonymous; they are not an account name.

On the website, requesting or redeeming a device-sync code sends saved-photo identifiers to the server. Private collections are not included. Saving a photo alone does not cast a vote or upload the saved list. Native apps do not currently offer collection sync.

Hosting, abuse prevention and reports

Cloudflare hosts the website and API and receives connection information, including IP addresses, when serving requests. BikeHub uses hashed network identifiers and temporary counters to limit abuse. Votes, opted-in sync data and moderation records can remain on the server after you clear local storage.

A photo report sends the details you enter for moderation. If you email us, we receive your email address and message. Please include only information needed to handle your request. Photo uploads are currently unavailable.

Your choices

You can remove saved items and collections locally and clear a vote through its voting control. Clearing local data does not itself delete server records and may remove the identifier needed to connect them to your device. Contact us before clearing data if you need help with server-side information.
